only downside is when I sit on the inside bench (I’m 6”2”) and the water is up to the very top, it doesn’t crest over my shoulders. wish the bench seat was a couple inches lower.
Don't purchase Ice Barrel Chiller because the warranty they sell is worthless
I purchased an extended warranty through XCover directly from Ice Barrel's website. My chiller began leaking after about two years, so I contacted Ice Barrel expecting assistance. They immediately told me they could not help and referred me to XCover. The claims process with XCover has been extremely frustrating. There is no customer service phone number—everything must be done through their website. Many of the required questions and video requests did not even apply to my claim. Every couple of weeks I would receive another message asking for the same information I had already submitted. After nearly two and a half months, they asked for the fifth time that I provide my name, the purchase date of the chiller, the purchase date of the warranty, copies of my receipts, the warranty contract, and all claim reference numbers. XCover had no problem accepting my $399 payment for a five-year warranty, but when it came time to honor that warranty, the process became an endless cycle of repeated requests and delays. The lack of a corporate customer service phone number makes it nearly impossible to resolve issues with a real person. Sunlighten, which now owns Ice Barrel, has also been disappointing. Their customer service response has consistently been, "That's not our problem," even though the warranty was sold through their website. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution anyone considering purchasing an extended warranty through XCover. A warranty is only as valuable as the company's willingness and ability to provide timely support when you actually need it. That rating is much too high ---☆

Ice Barrel Chiller: Awesome when it was working, DIDN'T LAST LONG AND BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE WITH NO RESOLUTION IN OVER A MONTH....
I have the ice barrel 500 and ordered the chiller at the same time. It was new and took 8 months to finally arrive. In the meantime, I made my own chiller, filter system from an online YouTuber. The MacGyver chiller I made was only a few hundred dollars and worked great. I was hesitated to hooking up the I barrel chiller because I had had no issues with my old system after using it for 15 months. I had a slow weekend and decided it was time. Hooking it up was easy and the app worked well. After 30-40 days I had issue with the temperture not reading correctly and the pump didn't seem to be working. I called customer service and they send me some trouble shooting tricks. None worked, still had the same issue and was not able to use it. They asked me to look at a fuse that could be blown. I bought all new fuses and changed all of them to be sure that was not the problem. Since that did not work, I called again. They asked me to open the chiller back up (there are probably 20-30 screws to take it apart) and take the pictures they are requesting. I did that about three weeks ago and have not gotten a response. I have had missed calls from them, for some reason their system doesn't ring on your phone but they are able to leave a voicemail. I have call multiple times this week at mainly between the hours of 9am-4pm EST and the line says they are closed and to leave a message. I am extremely fed up with this whole process. Should have just stuck with my cheap system that worked fine. Its been over a month and I haven't been able to use my Ice Barrel. Its also summertime when I would be using it twice a day. At a loss on how to get this resolved. Spent so much money on this system just to give up.

This is the BEST of all ice tubs! The solid construction and design is like no other. It will last for a long lifetime of plunges. I love the upright posture I have while I am in it. It also uses less water than my other ones which is a plus. The lid is very fitted and won't ever blow off in the wind like some other designs. If you are investing in an icebath, this is the one!

Upgraded to the 500 from a portable inflatable tank b and it was the best decision I’ve ever made! The insulation on this is crazy good….maintained 43F for the last three weeks with outdoor temps in the 20s and 30s. I’m 6’3”, 265 and fit perfectly in it fully submerged!
