Design & build

Same rotomolded HDPE construction as the 500 but smaller in capacity and lighter overall. The upright cylinder shape is preserved; the seat and step design carry over from the larger model.

Lighter shell means slightly thinner insulation than the 500, which shows up in cold-hold time rather than peak insulation, the 300 cools and warms slightly faster than its sibling.

Setup

Site on a level surface. One person can reposition the empty barrel; that is the headline practical advantage over the 500. Fill from a hose, add ice on day one. No electrical install required.

Total day-one setup time is under 20 minutes. The 300 is the right buy if you are not yet sure cold plunging will stick and want a low-risk on-ramp.
